The Pismo Beach City Council will discuss the possibility of expanding its smoking ordinance at tonight’s meeting. Last year the American Lung Association gave Pismo Beach an ‘F’ when it comes to tobacco control within city limits. A revamped ordinance would include banning smoking on public sidewalks downtown, lines for ATMs, as well as, entryways to bars and restaurants, and farmers markets. According to KSBY, the new ordinance would expand the definition of enclosed spaces, open-air dining areas, places of employment, public places, recreational areas, and service areas.
