A proposed low-income housing project in Santa Maria is being put on hold. The city council green-lighted the Cox Bungalows project last October as a senior housing project at the corner of Cox Lane and Blosser road. That plan morphed into housing for people with special needs. Now some neighbors in the area have raised concerns about a lack of parking and other issues. The project will go back to the city planning commission for clarification of what encompasses special needs, and an improved parking situation.
