The family of a Paso Robles man who was shot and killed in January of 2017 has responded to a video of the incident. The video was released last Friday by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office. The incident was determined by the San Luis Obispo County D.A.’s office to be a justifiable shooting under the law. An attorney for Josh Gallardo’s family released a statement the read in part; We intend to aggressively litigate the case, calling the shooting unconstitutional. Senate Bill 1421 went into effect on January 1, 2019, requiring law enforcement agencies to provide records of internal investigations.
