Five Cities Fire Authority and Cal Fire SLO firefighters were called out yesterday afternoon to a report of a car fire. Officials say it happened just off the 101 at Grand Avenue in Arroyo Grande at around 3 p.m… One of the southbound lanes was closed to give crews room to work on dousing the flames. Firefighters say the people in the car were able to escape the burning car without injury.
