The California State Attorney is taking a look at the case against a former Paso Robles police sergeant accused of sex crimes. Christopher McGuire was accused of sexually assaulting a woman after responding to a domestic abuse report in 2017. The victim says McGuire returned days later and sexually assaulted her and harassed her for several months. A San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s investigation concluded that McGuire should be prosecuted. Despite the recommendation, the county D.A.’s office announced it would not pursue charges against the officer. The State Attorney’s Office is now reviewing the case.
