With summer just a few weeks away, and fire season upon us, fire officials say it’s important to remind residents about making your home fire ready. Even the San Luis Obispo County Grand Jury found that while every incorporated city in the county had ordinances regarding weed abatement, the same could not be said for unincorporated areas. According to KSBY, California State Law 4291 requires residents to maintain a 100-foot clearance around your home. Cal Fire inspectors are currently visiting higher risk areas, making sure people are following the law.
