Police Chief’s’ Car Stolen

San Luis Obispo’s Chief of Police became the victim of a crime earlier this week. Her personal car was stolen sometime between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Santa Margarita. Investigators say the car was recovered later that same night in Daly City in San Mateo County. San Mateo County Sheriff’s officials say 25-year-old Joy Riojas of San Diego was found in the car at a park. She is currently being held in lieu of 50,000 dollars bail and is expected in court later this morning. According to KSBY Another car was also stolen this week in Santa Margarita and later recovered in Santa Maria. Authorities say the two incidents seem to be unrelated.
