Honor Flight of the Central Coast recently received a generous gift. A 5,000 dollar grant from The Community Foundation SLO County. It’s the first time honor Flight has been selected for funding by the Community Foundation. The grant will be used to help with the costs associated with taking local veterans on all-expense-paid trips to Washington D.C. to view military memorials and monuments. Honor Flight is an all-volunteer group that has taken more than 325 vets back to D.C. to honor the men and women who continue to make us feel safe.
