More than 19,000 PG&E customers from San Simeon to Baywood were without power for a short time yesterday afternoon. PG&E officials say the outage affected residents and businesses in Atascadero, Cayucos, Cambria, and Baywood. Cal Poly and Hearst Castle were also hit by the outage. Power was fully restored by 2 o’clock. The cause was traced back to an equipment issue at an electrical substation in Templeton.
