Local Deputies and Police Take Part In National Human Trafficking Awareness Operation

January was National Human Trafficking Awareness month Law enforcement agencies across California took part in a human trafficking operation. Sheriff’s Deputies from San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties took part in the statewide annual Operation Reclaim and Rebuild. A total of 3 pimps and 14 solicitors of prostitutes were arrested. 22 female potential victims of exploitation were contacted and put in touch with victim services.
