COVID-19 Cases Rise To 46 Officials Prepare For Surge

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in San Luis Obispo County has risen to 46 in 11 days. Officials say they are preparing for a surge and need help from the community. While they have ordered 100 more respirators and made plans for 1,000 additional hospital beds, medical staffing remains a concern. Yesterday, Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein called for volunteers to join the Medical Reserve Corps. She said qualified people in all types of healthcare are needed. If you want to volunteer go to Emergency SLO dot org.
