Peaceful Protests in Paso Robles And Lompoc

Hundreds of people gathered yesterday in a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Paso Robles for George Floyd. The protest lasted about 6 hours. While there were no incidents of violence or vandalism reported, traffic was blocked on some streets. The protest came to a close with protesters and police kneeling together in prayer. In Lompoc, Black Lives Matter protesters honored George Floyd at Ryon Park, before marching to the police station nearby. Protesters said that they wanted to keep the night peaceful. Adding that violence would only take away from their message.
