Firefighters Kept Busy Up And Down The Central Coast

Firefighters up and down the Central Coast were busy over the weekend. Crews quickly knocked down a vegetation fire yesterday that burned east of Santa Maria. Santa Barbara County Fire officials say, crews quickly knocked down a grass fire near the Rancho Sisquoc Winery. A brush fire broke out Saturday afternoon near Templeton, forcing some residents from their homes for a short time. The flames scorched 25 to 30 acres on Neal Springs Road and Berry Patch Lane. And a pickup truck drove into a natural gas line at the A Matter Of Taste store Saturday, and the fire left the metal-sided-and-roofed building a total loss. Luckily no injuries were reported.
