Obispo City firefighters were kept busy over the Labor day weekend. Crews answered a call regarding an injured hiker on Bishop Peak yesterday morning. Officials say the female victim suffered major injuries after falling roughly 30 feet. She was flown to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment. On Sunday, Cal Fire and San Luis Obispo City firefighters worked aggressively to halt the forward progress on a 50-acre vegetation fire in the South Hills Open Space area. Ultimately stopping it from spreading to nearby homes.
