The Santa Maria Joint Union High School District has decided to continue with virtual learning through the end of the year. At last night’s meeting, School board members voiced concerns about reopening and possibly having to close down after just a few weeks. A recent student survey shows 82 percent of district students would prefer to be back on campus. The board hopes to have a hybrid learning model in place by the beginning of 2021.
