California State Parks has released a three-tiered plan to reopen the Oceano Dunes to some vehicles. Under the first tier, “street legal” vehicles will be allowed at the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning Friday, October 30th. Overnight camping is still prohibited but will reopen at a later date. Officials say, Visitation and physical distancing will be monitored at the dunes, and “if unsafe conditions develop, access may be restricted again.”
