A 1700-acre ranch between Cambria and Paso Robles is now under the permanent protection of the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County. Officials say the Santa Rita Ranch is home to a wide variety of wildlife and grazing for local cattle. According to a press release, LCSLO plans to “maintain the property as a wildlife preserve, sustainable working cattle ranch, and future nature education center.”
