So needless to say facebook has become the biggest social networking site on the internet. Almost everyone has a facebook page. The site gives you feeds on your friend’s activities, displays recent photos taken by everyone you know, and basically keeps you up to date on every single thing that your aquiantances are doing. Facebook pretty much killed any private life you wanted to have. And now it’s getting even worse. Parents, who used to be technologically incapable of making a facebook page have figured it out and are keeping track of their out of control college kids. Companies even use facebook to look at potential employees for background checks. Basically, anyone can see what you are doing and how you live. It’s actually kind of creepy. My advice to you is if you have a facebook page, make sure your page is set to private and you only add people you know and don’t mind sharing every single thing that you do to them, because facebook can get you into a lot of trouble.

“How has facebook gotten you into trouble?” There’s some interesting predicaments you can find yourself in.

Listen to how our intern got “in trouble” from a picture of him posted on facebook.

A led Zeppelin tribute band, Led Zepagain. This is acceptable since Led Zeppelin doesn’t tour anymore

A Muse tribute Band?!? Seriously? These guys are still pretty new to the music scene and playing sold out shows! You are a cover band my friend!

There have been a lot of amazing bands that have come through that have been influential to people around the world and were the voice for generations. But as we all know, rockers get old, they retire, they die, and the band is no longer able to perform and write. However, a great band’s music is never forgotten and their messages are carried into the next generation of music fanatics. People will form what is known as tribute bands to help carry on the music written by the artists that influenced their lives heavily. This is a great idea, to keep the music going when the artists can no longer do it. You pay tribute to the music that you love and keep it going for others to enjoy. However, you can’t pay tribute to a band that is still writing, touring, and have their own fan base! That’s like holding a funeral for someone who is still alive and kickin’ it. It’s not right to call yourself a tribute band in this situation! You are a cover band. That’s not a bad thing. Playing your favorite artist’s music is awesome, but you are not paying tribute to them because they are still alive and rocking out!

Let’s pay tribute to a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit

Motley Crue singer Vince Neil, who last week had declared his sobriety, was arrested on drunk driving charges after getting pulled over by police near the Las Vegas Strip. He was taken into custody at 11:15 p.m. Sunday. Neil was released Monday after posting $2,000 bail. The arrest was not Neil’s first drunk driving case. In 1984, he crashed a sports car head-on into another car in Redondo Beach, California, killing his passenger Nicholas Dingley, the 24-year-old drummer for the band Hanoi Rocks who was on tour with Motley Crue at the time. Neil wasn’t injured. He later pleaded guilty to manslaughter and drunk driving, served 20 days in jail, and agreed to pay $2.5 million in restitution to victims. Neil also has had misdemeanor battery charges dismissed at least twice in California and Nevada after performing community service. One stemmed from an accusation that he roughed up a prostitute in 2003 at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch brothel in northern Nevada. Neil is due September 27 in Las Vegas Justice Court.

Now Neil, being the rockstar and celebrity that he is, will probably get off easier than this particular lady.

Brett Oswald had been outside his patrol car and waiting for a tow truck for an abandoned vehicle that had been reported just before 6 p.m. when a vehicle struck him. Kalee Weisenberg, age 22 from Atascadero, was driving northbound on South River Road near Spanish Camp Road. She turned a corner at high speed and lost control. Kalee hit Oswald’s patrol car, sending it forward to where it hit him. Other details, such as whether Weisenberg was intoxicated, are not yet being disclosed. Weisenberg was booked into County Jail at 2:50 a.m. Monday after being released from Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton, where she was treated for minor injuries. She was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and driving with a suspended license. As of late Monday, she remained there in lieu of $56,500 bail. But according to court records, she was arrested on Jan. 13 on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and failed to appear twice in court, according to the county District Attorney’s Office.

Portland police say they investigated allegations that former Vice President Al Gore had “unwanted sexual contact” with a massage therapist during an October 2006 visit, but they found insufficient evidence to support the woman’s claims.

Multnomah County District Attorney Michael Schrunk said Wednesday an attorney representing the woman contacted police in late 2006. Schrunk said the woman refused to be interviewed by detectives and didn’t want the investigation to continue.

But the woman contacted police in January 2009 and gave a statement, saying Gore tried to have sex with her during a massage appointment at the upscale downtown Hotel Lucia. Gore reportedly was registered at the hotel as “Mr. Stone.” (LA Times, June 24, 2010)

Addiction is such a harsh word. We prefer “can’t live without.” But what is it that gets people hooked on substances? Is it a personally thing? Becasuse people do say that they have “addictive personalities.” Or is it the scientific fact that when one takes enough of a substance, their body literally gets used to the presence of it and then cannot go on without it? Well if one wants to find out that answer, we could talk to people that try to fight off the addiction of substances. And how exactly do you fight off addiction? Does a nicotine patch really work? All it does is let the chemicals you are already hooked on enter your blood stream in small doses until your body can resume normal functioning without it. (except for those people who claim to be addicted to “Twilight”. First of all that’s not addiction, that’s obsession, and you ca’t be weaned off that lameness, you’re born lame.) But you have to watch yourself no matter what. Remember, too much of any good thing will always turn into a bad thing.

People go to rehab to fight off addiction…or maybe just to sell their record. But one can addicted to anything, from copenhagen to a tv show

Can you believe it’s already been a year since pop legend Michael Jackson has passed away? That was like a national catastrophe! The day that the king of pop passed away. Granted he did molest a few kids on the way out. But no matter. Do you remember when the man who transversed races passed away? Jeff and Jeremy were on a golf course when they heard the news. The intern Rory was woken up out of an alcohol induced coma when he was introduced to the news. Will you remember the man as the man from back in the day, when he was a lovable child singing “ABC” in the Jacson five? Or maybe you will remember him as the awesome moonwalking maniac getting down to his hit “Thriller”. Or maybe you are the person to remember him as the race-changing child-molesting deviant that he came out to be. No matter, it is safe to say that MJ was the king of pop, revolutionized dance moves and was still able to entertain a croud of thousands. As he was ready for his comeback tour to revitalize his career, MJ took his last stage dive and passed away weeks before his first tour date. However, he is still making tons of money off his music and selling countless records and dvds. We salute you MJ, for changing the music scene one dance step at a time.

Jeff and Jeremy were on a golf course when they heard the breaking news of the year. Where were you? Just let us know in the Comments section above.

So everyone knows of the fairly recent law that drivers cannot be talking on the cell phone while operating a vehicle unless they are using a hands-free device, such as a blue tooth headset. However, there is no official law stating that bicyclists also have to abide by the law. So think about this for a second…drivers have to share the road with bicylcists, biclyclists have to abide by all road laws such as stopping at stop signs and street lights, giving pedestrians the right away, etc. However, bicyclists can talk on the phone while riding? First off, that seems very unsafe to be riding a bike with one hand while talking on the phone with the other. A simple overcorrection puts a person right into the middle of the road, potenially being hit by a car. But no matter, Sen. Joe Simitian came up with a genius idea to extend the no cell phone law to bicyclists on the road. Way to earn your salary and do your job to push this amazing bill that should just be common sense to apply the original hands-free law to bicyclists in the first place.

This is why Jeff  should be President, so we wouldn’t waste time on lame bills like this

What?!? John Kerry on a bike while talking on the cell phone? His helmet’s not even on!

So Forbes came out with the top 10 most disliked sports atheletes of the year. Can you guess the most hated person in the Sports world? As Jeremy incorrectly guesses Roger Clemens who did not even make the list, the most despicable of people, Michael Vick, who was convicted for animal brutality, took the cake as the most disliked athlete of the year. Some new additions to the list are Big Ben Roethlisberger and the once high and mighty Tiger Woods. Oh how the world changes. Tiger, once being seen as invincible and a role model for upcoming athletes, has now been reduced to the fourth most disliked athlete of the year, the only non-football athlete to make the top 5. Others who made the list is the Raider’s owner Al Davis, Allen Iverson, Terrel Owens, A-Rod, and the infamous roid pumping Mark Mcgwire. The survey was conducted by a california based e poll market reseacrh company, and these particular athletes ranked lowest on the public’s likability scorecard. However, only active athletes, coaches, managers, owner, agents and bradcasters were able to make the list. Also, the athlete also had to be well known to the public.

An in depth discussion on the 10 most disliked athletes of the year

Here is the complete list ofhte top 10 most disliked athletes of the year. (list obtained from the Mr. Skin radio prep website)

1. MICHAEL VICK
Philadelphia Eagles
Percent Dislike: 69%
A year removed from his dog-fighting troubles, Vick’s image rehab was probably slowed by his sparse playing time in Philadelphia. More time in the public eye could move things along.

2. AL DAVIS
Oakland Raiders
Percent Dislike: 66%
A football owner who’s always walked to the beat of his own drum. Davis has signed renegade players and yanked his team back and forth between Oakland and Los Angeles, spurring lawsuits and run-ins with the league. And his “Just win, baby” mantra hasn’t been working in recent years.

3. BEN ROETHLISBERGER
Pittsburgh Steelers
Percent Dislike: 57%
Accused of but not charged for sexual assault (twice), not long after a motorcycle accident, Big Ben’s wild ways finally caught up to him. At 28, it’s probably time to stop partying with the college set.

4. TIGER WOODS
Golfer
Percent Dislike: 53%
Tiger’s tabloid year has taken its toll. Crisis management types believe he’s taking the right road back–apologize and get back to the course–though it figures to be a long road.

5. JERRY JONES
Dallas Cowboys
Percent Dislike: 53%
Like Oakland’s Al Davis, Jones is known as a maverick owner who has clashed with the league and with his coaches. Outside the home market, where winning tops all, fans don’t generally take to boat-rockers.

6. MARK MCGWIRE
St. Louis Cardinals
Percent Dislike: 48%
Baseball’s steroid stigma still needs some time to pass, apparently. McGwire’s recent tearful interview with Bob Costas got mixed reviews–he came across as genuinely sorry but refused to acknowledge the ‘roids pumped up his home run total. Luckily hitting coaches spend little time on the field during the game.

7. TERREL OWENS
Buffalo Bills
Percent Dislike: 47%
The wide receiver diva’s antics are polarizing to the public–T.O. is the type people love or hate. But as his skills erode, the public grows less tolerant. At 36, he’s now a free agent looking for an NFL gig.

8. ALEX RODRIGUEZ
New York Yankees
Percent Dislike: 45%
A-Rod is down five spots from last year, when steroid talk dominated the conversation and his (championship) ring finger was still bare. Then again, Tiger and Roethlisberger did plenty to jump ahead of him since then, while McGwire only became eligible this year after taking the Cardinals’ hitting coach job.

9. ALLEN IVERSON
Philadelphia 76ers
Percent Dislike: 45%
Returning to Philadelphia this season after a brief stop in Memphis didn’t work out–Iverson left the club in February, citing his daughter’s health. Some sports industry insiders say Iverson’s tattoos, cornrows and sometimes brash nature give him a “bad boy” rep he doesn’t deserve.

10. GILBERT ARENAS
Washington Wizards
Percent Dislike: 44%
A highly publicized bout with guns in the Wizards’ locker room got Arenas a hefty suspension from the league and two years’ probation from the law. With $80 million left on his contract, the club may want to consider buying out Arenas as it gets set to take a new franchise player with the first overall draft pick, likely to be Kentucky’s John Wall.

Jeremy has gotten a ticket or two for fishing without a license. This is right up his alley, if your an angler you must read THIS ARTICLE about the idiot who didn’t get his fishing license before entering the tournament. He ended up costing his team 900K. If that much money is on the line wouldn’t you think that you would go the extra effort to purchase the license?

A fisherman crew loses their chance at one million dollars, and jeremy gets busted by boarder patrol
