We actually got a college student who thinks she might be pregnant to come experiment with both the 4 New Choice Dollar Tree tests and 1 EPT expensive test.
After sending out Brett and Suzanne to pick up some pregnancy tests, we brought in listener “Jane Doe” to try them out. being a student, she obviously wanted to remain anonymous, so we disguised her voice to sound like an extremely flamboyant version of the golden-voiced homeless man. With some help from Suzanne, Jane headed to the restroom and took the 4 Dollar Tree tests and the 1 EPT test. To her relief, all 5 came back negative, though we were hoping for at least one positive to add some drama (and so we could call her boyfriend and let him know).
And now, just what you wanted to see: the pee-coated test sticks!
We were curious to find out the reliability of dollar store pregnancy tests.
To get your opinion on the situation, we set up a poll asking if you had nine dollars, would you spend it on one nine dollar pregnancy test or nine dollar tree pregnancy tests? Our intern Brett thinks the dollar store tests would give a false positive if you ate a poppyseed muffin that morning, but we actually had a caller say the test worked for her. We’ll be sending out Suzanne and Brett to the nearest dollar tree to buy some tests and ask the clerks if they get a lot of people buying them there. Check back for updates!
And our best response to the poll question : “Spend 2 dollars on the pregnancy tests and the rest on a 6-pack.”
Yesterday we were talking about Tom Cable’s demise in the Raider Nation at the hands of Al Davis.
What to KZOZ listeners thave to say about this? Well, as of 6:45 this morning, 73% of listeners think he was bringing the Raiders back towards the realm of respectability and didn’t deserve to be canned. Rumors are going around that the position is to be taken over by Hue Jackson, the Raiders current Offensive Coordinator. What do you think, should the Raiders have renewed Tom Cable’s contract? And who should take over to deal with Al Davis now?
