Here’s the explanation of the game and the guys pick their candies.

After giving away a $100 gift card to the Spyglass Inn during the Cupid Intern of Love, we realized that we still had a hundred more bucks to give away! So we decided to hold the Sweethearts Classic, a competition in which Jeff, Jeremy, and Brett the Intern would call golf courses in a random city and try to keep the employee on the line as long as possible by using only the words on six Sweethearts candies that they pulled from the box.  We had three listeners call in who picked one of the guys to root for.

Here’s the audio of the listener draft and the first two golf course calls!

Brett went first and managed to last for 17.9 seconds.  Jeremy followed up with a meager 17.4 seconds.  Finally , Jeff came in and blew them all away with over 30 seconds on the line, meaning our listener Jeremy (not the DJ) won the gift card.  Check the audio for more!

Here’s a quick clip of Jeff making his golf course call and blowing everybody out of the water to win a $100 gift card to Spyglass Inn for Jeremy in San Luis Obispo.

Here’s Mike from Los Osos taking on Suzanne in the Led Zepagain trivia challenge!

Led Zepagain, the premier Led Zeppelin tribute band, is coming to The Ranch in San Miguel so we’re playing some LZ trivia to get ready! Contestants call in and face a randomly selected KZOZ DJ in a battle to be the first to answer three Zeppelin questions.  Today we had Mike calling in to battle Suzanne and the man was on his game. After being up 2-0, Suz battled back to 2-2 until Mike was able to name two songs off of the album Presence.  To reward his brilliance, we gave him two tickets to see Led Zepagain on February 25!

Here’s Jeff and Jeremy talking about the proper gift procedure with their wives while Brett explains why he gets to save his financial aid money.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day today, we were talking about the perils of gift giving.  Even if you’ve agreed to go cheap with your gifts, is it still okay to just get your girl a card? We turned this question on price for VD into our poll question which you can answer at kzoz.com.

Here’s the guys discussing the best way to handle last minute Valentine’s gifts.

This talk got us thinking about last minute Valentine’s Day gifts for the procrastinators among us.  We came up with all of the universal standards like chocolates and flowers, but we also got a lot of suggestions from callers ranging from hand written poetry to discount massages.  Based on the poetry suggestion, Brett the Intern actually wrote a poem for Jeff’s wife (which was as romantic as a damn sunset, if I do say so myself).  Check out the Jeff and Jeremy Facebook page to let us know what you think the best last minute Valentine’s Day presents are!

Here’s a quick clip of Brett reading the Valentine’s Day poem he wrote for Jeff’s wife using topic suggestions from Jeff and Jeremy.
