Here’s Cheeba givin’ the feminine side of life with “That’s What She Said!”
Today we brought in the lovely Senorita Cheeba for our first ever segment of “That’s What She Said!” She gave us her opinion on movies these days and their lack of originality. She’s getting really sick of Hollywood just rehashing old plot lines, and she played a game of guess the movie to prove her point. When it comes to movie theaters, once Hollywood starts creating original plots, she’ll start coming again. And that’s what she said.
Here’s CJ from the Red Cross talking about the importance of being prepared.
Today we had CJ in from the San Luis Obispo Red Cross to talk about disaster preparation in light of the disasters going on in Japan. She really highlighted the importance of having a full disaster kit ready to go by the door in case of an emergency. While she was here, we got a call from a woman who’s apartment was horrendously flooded in San Luis Obispo in 2005. This all happened at 3:30 am, and the Red Cross was out there to help by 3:45. You can check out a full list of supplies to have in your disaster kit by heading over to the American Red Cross website. Also, check out the fantastic resources and donation page at the local San Luis Obispo Red Cross website by clicking here.
CJ tells us how to create a proper emergency kit.
Check out listener Laurie telling us her story of Red Cross assissting her with a devastating flood right here in San Luis Obispo.
Here’s our discussion of Bikini Basketball and some other (mostly bikini-related) sports that could fill in for football this season.
Things are not lookin’ good for the upcoming NFL season. The players rejected the owners latest collective bargaining agreement, disbanded as a union, and have decided to sue the team owners. The owners have locked out the players, and if no agreement can be reached soon, there’s going to be a lockout for the 2011/12 season. If this is the case, what sport should step up and fill the football-sized void? Jeff is dead set on the rise of the BBL, or bikini basketball league. It’s a two-on-two, six team (12 player total) league of complete babes that’s supposed to be getting started soon and be extremely interactive. We also wouldn’t mind bikini curling! What do you think should take over? Let us know by heading over to the Jeff and Jeremy Facebook page!
