The poor guy below lost alot of money… in fact Rainman Tim called us up and broke it down for us!

By the time the gas fumes dissipated Monday morning, Wilmington, Calif. gas station owner Kenny Nguyen was looking at $21,000 in lost earnings for his family business.

During a three-hour stint on Sunday morning, Nguyen’s Valero station was pumping premium gas at $1.10 a gallon, a significant bargain when you consider that the 91 Octane should’ve been pumping for $4.29 a gallon.

Thanks to Twitter, Facebook and smartphones, word of the discount spread quickly. It wasn’t long before the lines began snaking their way down the street.

Motorists pumped some 7,000 gallons of gas into their tanks at the discounted price. Business was so booming that police had to be called in to help control traffic around the area.

Nguyen says the attendant on duty was busy staffing the convenience store and didn’t notice that the price change didn’t take, so the computer system defaulted to the $1.10 price.

“What can I do?” he said, according to the Torrence Daily Breeze.

Nguyen is hoping that people who took advantage of the windfall will come back to the store and make up the difference. On Monday, patrons flocked to the store to buy candy, snacks and whatever else they could to help make up for the lost earnings, but it’s not the same as giving the family business the $30 or $40 difference from filling up their tank.

It’s really unfortunate, in many ways, because expecting the kindness of people who probably got wide-eyed and giggly at paying $1.10 for gas aren’t exactly the same people who are going to willingly come back and make up the difference. Which is a shame, because it’s Nguyen and his family that are losing out significantly because of a computer glitch. Still, it’s up to the business owner to make sure that his machines are working properly — ultimately, it’s his error, not the consumer.

Hopefully, the community rallies behind him to make up that difference — $21,000 is a ton of money to lose out on as a small business. Nguyen shouldn’t hold his breath.

In honor of the Apocalypse, this morning we played It’s The End of all Talent as We Know It.

Here is the clip of the song so you can play the Home Version.

Here are a couple of this mornings contestants and a few extra’s thrown in for good measure.

Dana was first up and did a commendable job scoring 15 points to earn her 2nd place.

Melissa took home the title scoring 22.5 points.

Lynette admitted that she would probably have done a better job AFTER the Wine Festival.

Cheeba slayed it for good measure!

… and the lovely Pinball from CCRD did it to prepare for Saturday’s National Anthem performance.

“Six o’clock – TV hour. Don’t get caught in foreign towers. Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn. Lock it in, uniforming, book burning, blood letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate. Light a candle, light a motive. Step down, step down. Watch your heel crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no fear cavalier. Renegade steer clear! A tournament, tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline.”

Mildred Patricia Baena as Arnold’s baby-mama.  She’s 50 years old and she made $1,200 a week as a HOUSEKEEPER for Arnold and Maria.

So-called “sources” say Patty started PURSUING Arnold in the late 1990s . . . and told friends that they would have UNPROTECTED SEX at the house during the day.

Jeremy Rated her as 7… considering her age. Do you agree?

Take a listen…

This was one of those really rare days where the news of the day made our Jobs easy!

HERE IS THE CLIFF NOTES VERSION

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver split up after she found out that he had fathered a child with a long-time member of their household staff more than a decade ago, the Los Angeles Times reveals. Shriver moved out of the couple’s home after Schwarzenegger acknowledged the child was his. The staff member continued to work for the couple until earlier this year. “After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement issued to the newspaper. “I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.”

To no surprise people weren’t too happy with the Governator this morning

So in true “respect your politicians” form we decided to have the Governator call your friends and Family.
