Word of advice, don’t try to take off your son’s cast with your circular saw… leave that up to the doctors!

33-year-old Lawrence Roberts from Coral Springs, Florida, is our “Dad of the Day.” Roberts’ 15-year-old son had a cast on his arm, and on Sunday, Roberts decided he was going to remove the cast.  So he got a 10-inch circular saw from the construction site where he works, and attempted to CUT THE CAST OFF. But Roberts botched the job and the boy suffered severe cuts to his hand and needed emergency surgery. The top of his thumb got severed, his index finger was sliced nearly in half, and he was cut in the webbing between his thumb and index finger.

We figure a lot of accidental abuse happens during fishing trips… or when you just want to keep the kids distracted.
