Northern San Luis Obispo County could become an emergency intake site for unaccompanied migrant children at the Mexican Border. According to KSBY, the California National Guard has received a request from The Department of Health and Human Services to temporarily house the children on land at Camp Roberts. HHS officials say all the children will be tested for COVID-19 before being brought to the site and tested every three days following. Currently, there are close to 13,000 children in HHS care.
