A mountain lion has been spotted at Cuesta College. Campus police sent out an email yesterday warning students and staff about the sightings. According to the email, a mountain lion was spotted Monday and Tuesday of this week near the auto body building and the shipping and receiving building near the outskirts of the campus. Wildlife officials say San Luis Obispo County is cougar country due to a large number of deer in the area. If you come across a mountain lion, DO NOT Turn and run, Make yourself look as large as possible, make as much noise as possible, and if you are attacked, fight back, using anything available.
