A Santa Maria man is in the hospital following a single-vehicle accident late last night. Police say the man suffered moderate injuries after his pickup crashed into a tree at the intersection of McCoy Lane and Skyway Drive at around 10:30. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. investigators believe drugs or alcohol may have played a part in the crash.
