While local crews and equipment are headed to the major wildfires burning to the north and south of us, fire officials say they have been planning for such an event. Cal Fire SLO says it has been increasing staff in preparation for the hot dry weather pattern. And Santa Barbara County Fire says it has been prepositioning equipment to better attack any potential fire outbreaks. Fire officials in both counties say they are fully staffed.
