The San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District has announced a grant program designed to help local businesses, school districts and residents clear the air in the county. The grant funding is meant to help reduce emissions from marine vessel engines, school buses, wood stoves, fireplaces and old light-duty cars, and the installation of electric and alternative fuel vehicle infrastructure. Funding comes from DMV registration fees and the California Climate Investments Program.
