A San Luis Obispo County jury has found an Indiana man guilty of stabbing his mother to death. 64-year-old Athena Valentiny was found in her Grover Beach home last year during a welfare check by police. During the three-week-long trial, Prosecutors say her son, Levente Lazar, drove from Indiana to Grover Beach. Stabbed his mother to death in order to speed up his inheritance then back to Indiana. According to the Tribune, jurors found the evidence against Lazar overwhelming. He’s due to be sentenced in December.
