Mail-In Ballots Could Be Key In Close Races

Mail-in and provisional ballots could prove to be game-changers in tight races in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. The San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder’s Office says, roughly 21,400 vote-by-mail ballots and more than 3,000 provisional ballots still need to be counted. That could have an impact on the race for San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors District 3. At last count, Adam Hill trailed Stacy Korsgaden by only 304 votes. Oceano’s Measure A-20 also hangs in the balance of ballots that still need to be counted. Both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties have reported record-setting turn-outs.
