Neighborhood App Helps Nab Burglar

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is crediting an alert neighbor and a neighborhood social networking app in putting a burglar behind bars. Deputies were called out to a home Encinas Drive in Los Osos at around 4 p.m. Tuesday and a report of a burglary that had just happened. Earlier in the day, a number of neighbors reported seeing suspicious man knocking on doors. They released a picture of the man on the app. Deputies caught up with 23-year-old Ezra Hill. He was taken into custody after a brief foot chase and is facing a number of charges.
