Paso Robles police say a car chase landed a couple behind bars over the weekend. Officers answered a call about someone setting off fireworks in the alley near Park Street. An officer noticed a black Nissan leaving the area when they arrived. A pursuit began, but came to a halt a few blocks later. that’s when Rudolfo Cerda III bailed from the car. Officers chased him down. They say he’s a known gang member and a parolee at large. The driver, Nicole Gatto, had a misdemeanor warrant. A search of the vehicle turned up narcotics, two sets of bolt cutters, a pair of gloves and a black ski mask, and A loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun. Both are facing numerous charges.
