Rains Help Dent Drought

Everyone seems to be talking about the weather lately. This months rainstorms have made a sizable dent in the state’s drought. A new report released yesterday by the U.S. Drought Monitor showed roughly 67 percent of California was free from drought or dry conditions. That statement included San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties. Officials warn that while the report shows improvement, groundwater levels and most reservoir levels are still low. They urge residents to continue saving water for the future.
