An annual report from the San Luis Obispo Police Department shows an overall decline in crime. The report pointed out that overall, crime was down in the city. The numbers showed decreases last year in several categories including, violent crime, property crime, and rape. Police officials believe that programs like the Community Action Team that works with the city’s chronically homeless population, have started to show positive results.
