Scary Moment For Fremont Family In Pismo

A scary moment for a Fremont family at the Pismo State Park yesterday. A five-year-old boy was reportedly struck by a vehicle. Authorities say it happened at about 11 a.m. at the Pier Avenue entrance to the beach. The boy was apparently running from an embankment toward the ocean when he was struck. According to KSBY, the driver didn’t see the child or realize that he had hit anyone until a group of people ran at him yelling at him to stop. Investigators say speed, alcohol or distracted driving are NOT considered factors in the accident. The boy was evaluated and with the exception of some scraped elbows, he’ll be fine.
