Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have signed on to participate in the 2008 American Music Awards, which ABC will broadcast live from Los Angeles on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. Among the event's nominees are the Eagles, who will compete for four trophies. Stewart Confirms Faces Reunion Plans
FacesRod Stewart has revealed that the surviving Faces members are planning a reunion tour for next summer. "I am looking forward to it," say the singer. "It'll be great." Stewart adds that guitarist Ronnie Wood is ready to participate in the project, despite his recent rumored sobriety issues and marriage troubles. "He is full of energy and very excited," maintains Stewart. "We try not to mix our family problems with work."

McCartney: I'd Like To Record With Dylan, Byrne
Paul McCartney has revealed that he would love to record music with Bob Dylan. "I admire him," explains McCartney. In addition, the Beatles legend mentioned ex-Talking Heads frontman David Byrne as another artist with whom he'd enjoy collaborating. Hendrix's Ladyland Getting Deluxe Release
Jimi Hendrix ExperienceA collector's edition of Electric Ladyland, the Jimi Hendrix Experience's last studio effort, will be issued on Dec. 9. The deluxe package will include a CD of the 1968 album and a DVD titled At Last . . . The Beginning: The Making of Electric Ladyland, the latter of which is an updated version of a 1997 installment in the Classic Albums documentary series. The DVD also will be available for purchase as a separate release.

Young Expounds on Future of Auto Industry
Neil Young has just written an extensive open letter that details his point-by-point plan to turn America's roads into a system that features self-charging electric vehicles. Young argues that these cars will keep people in the automobile business working, enhance national security (ostensibly because the need to rely on foreign oil would be eliminated), and help put an end to global warming. "The culture must change," writes Young. "We need visionary people now."

Hagar Slams Van Halen for "Bad Decisions"
Sammy Hagar has leveled more critical comments at his former Van Halen bandmates for giving bassist Michael Anthony the boot before the group's most recent reunion tour. "It is one more strike against those guys," says the Red Rocker. "They are not healthy, mentally, and they make bad decisions. They don't take the fans in mind for one second." Meanwhile, Hagar's upcoming solo album, Cosmic Universal Fashion (due out Nov. 25), currently is streaming here.
