An early morning shooting incident in Santa Maria has left one person dead, and police looking for a suspect. Police believe it started with an argument at around 2 A.M. Sunday near Mill and Lincoln Streets. The suspect brandished a weapon and shot the victim. The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, would be pronounced dead at the scene.
