San Luis Obispo City Firefighters were called out to a report of a barn fire Friday night. The historic barn sits on property owned by Coastal Community Builders, the developers of the new San Luis Ranch housing project. The barn is said to have been used in the late 1800s as a viewing area for horse racing on the property. It was slated to be moved to another location along with the original Dalidio house for historic preservation. Coastal Community Builders officials say they plan to rebuild the barn. An investigation into what caused the fire is underway.
