Lompoc Police are investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old girl, who they believe was an innocent bystander during a gang-related shooting. Investigators say it started last night in an alley near the Ocean Avenue Apartments. A known gang member was shot in the leg and ran between the apartments. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment. The girl was, who was babysitting at the time, was struck and killed.
