Four people were injured when the minivan they were in left the road near Avila Beach yesterday morning. Investigators say it happened at about 11 a.m. on Monte Road near Avila Beach Drive. Two people suffered serious injuries and the other two suffered minor injuries. The Jaws of Life was needed to extricate the driver who was trapped by the mini van’s dashboard. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
