Today’s the day students across the plan to walk out of class to protest the government’s inaction to climate change. Today’s walkout is being called a “strike for the future”. Some students plan to strike from school then rally outside the San Luis Obispo County Government Office between 10 a.m. and 1 this afternoon. In addition to a list of demands that include opposition to a number of oil projects in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties, students also want action on the Green New Deal and limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius or, 34.7 degrees Fahrenheit.
