Prosecutor Claims Riverside Man Threatened His Ex

A Riverside man is on his way to trial in San Luis Obispo tomorrow morning in a murder-for-hire case that includes the dark web. Prosecutors allege Beau Brigham wanted to have his estranged stepmother murdered and was on the dark web looking for a hitman. According to the Tribune, his plans came undone when they were discovered by a self-described cyber-crime, dark web, and internet security researcher, who notified the media. Prosecutors also claim Brigham used Facebook to threaten his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend. His defense attorney says the claims are irrelevant to the upcoming trial. Brigham has pleaded not guilty to the murder-for-hire charges.
