A San Luis Obispo woman has been granted a pardon from the governor. Governor Gavin Newsom announced that he has granted seven pardons. People who have been convicted of a crime in California may apply to the Governor for a pardon. Laurie Gardner of San Luis Obispo applied for executive clemency. She was convicted in 2004 for possession of a controlled substance for sale. She served four years on probation. Now she has a full pardon from the governor.
