Los Osos Woman Could Get Break When Sentenced For Deadly DUI

The Los Osos woman who struck and killed a Morro Bay pastor last year could get a break when she’s sentenced next month. Emily Bales pleaded no contest last week to a single charge of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Pastor Dale Paulson died as a result of the crash. A new voter-approved law could have Bales before a parole board after serving eight months of her sentence. She’s scheduled to find out just that sentence will be on October 21st.
