Northern California Communities Without Power

Hundreds of thousands of Northern Californians have no power this morning. It’s part of a controversial new plan to cut the power when it gets windy to prevent wildfires sparking from downed electric lines. Meanwhile, the San Luis Obispo County Office of Emergency Services Twitter page says, “No PG&E Shutoff is Expected” so far. About three dozen PG&E customers in the Santa Maria area could have their power shut off.
