A new ban on polystyrene products covers all of San Luis Obispo County, including Atascadero and Paso Robles. The San Luis Obispo County Integrated Waste Management Authority is expected to put the final touches on the Styrofoam ban sometime today. According to the Tribune, if approved, the ordinance prohibits food and beverage providers in San Luis Obispo County from “using, providing, distributing or selling styrofoam. It would also include meat packaging and egg cartons. Businesses found in violation face fines up to 500 dollars.
