The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office recently installed surveillance cameras in Oceano. The new cameras, at the corner of of 22nd Street and The Pike, were placed at that location due to the high volume of traffic into and out of Oceano. According to KSBY, some locals welcome the cameras. Others feel they are an intrusion. The Sheriff’s office also installed signs warning pedestrians and drivers that they were entering a surveillance zone.
