Santa Maria Police say they have arrested a second person they believe is connected to a New Year’s Day stabbing incident. The stabbing happened at around 2:15 New Year’s Day near the intersection of Boone Street and Thornburg. Officers arrested 18-year-old Alberto Morelos Pablo. He was booked on assault, car theft, and gang charges. 18-year-old Eduardo Garcia Burrueta was arrested two days after the incident and charged with attempted murder with gang enhancements. The incident is still under investigation.
