A Los Osos couple is behind bars this morning in connection to this week’s bomb threat in San Luis Obispo. Investigators believe 30-year-old Derek Atkins, and his girlfriend 40-year-old Carrie Maggard of Los Osos were both involved in Wednesday’s incident. A female court employee took the bomb threat call and told police a woman claimed two explosive devices were in the courthouse. Maggard, allegedly, admitted to making the call. Atkins was in the courthouse and scheduled to turn himself in to serve a prison sentence on an unrelated case.
