Peaceful Protest In SLO

Hundreds of people gathered in downtown San Luis Obispo yesterday afternoon for a third day of protesting in response to the killing of George Floyd, by a police officer last month… It started at around 2 p.m. with organizers telling the crowd, “we don’t want to bring any harm or violence to the city.” It was over in about three and a half hours. No incidents of violence or property damage were reported. One protester was knocked down by a car. Some businesses boarded their windows and county buildings closed early, in anticipation of the protest, and violence that didn’t happen.
